To begin work on a television series documenting the impact and influence of the West's Great Books. Basic elements of each episode would involve: 1) The time, 2) the author, 3) the ideas, 4) the impact of the books' ideas and the struggle for acceptance, and 5) the continuing influence. The books will be selected and two episodes produced under this grant.
