Mexican-American folklore will be treated in a series of half-hour radio programs. Two narrators, a male and a female, will give continuity to the series and will provide (in discussions between themselves and guests) background information. Programs will follow a thematic sequence, with historic background and meaning of the lore scattered throughout the series. Series will be aimed at Americans who know Spanish--predominantly at Hispanics, but also at Anglo-Americans who wish to learn more of the Hispanic language and culture. The objective is to acquaint Mexican Americans (particularly) with their own history through their rich folk heritage.
