To enlarge the role of the humanities in public life in metropolitan Seattle by increasing public involvement in and understanding of the Washington Humanities Commission through a program of workshops, scholarly papers and seminars, public information efforts, media activities, consultant services to community groups and financial development from private sources to expand the quality and range of public humanities program undertaken by institutions and organization in Seattle.
