Planning for a Humanities Program

A planning grant to develop programs in humanities that involve union's membership and staff and that directly relate to their working and social lives and increase their awareness of the humanities. A task force of academic humanists, labor specialists and ACTWU staff will focus on diverse needs of 500,000 workers and retirees with different ethnic, racial, geographic and educational backgrounds. Members will be reached through existing union channels and through new channels suggested by the task force.
