The main objective of "City" is to extend to Houston Public Library's adult patrons the opportunity to examined, from the perspective of the Humanities, the material necessary for understanding and appreciating the city as a cultural & social force. A variety of activities will be scheduled including 3 reading lists, 2 booklets of original scholarship and a walking tour. The goal is to reach those adults not formally enrolled in a learning process. 63OO patrons can be expected to participate in supported activities at the central library and branches. Media coverage & advertising will seek to reach every citizen in Houston.
