To plan for the implementation of an Environmental Forum that: (1) calls for the critical examination of existing assumptions about clearly defined environmental problems; (2) demonstrates the relevance of information and insights from the disciplines of the humanities to these topics; and(3) disseminates the information through existing networks and mass media. Rene Dubos is an eminent microbiologist and Pulitzer Prize winning author of a number of books on the humanistic implications of technology and the environment.
