Public Programs in the Humanities

To support public programs designed to inform a wide audience of developments in the humanities, to focus humanistic learning on problems of urgent public concern, and to enhance the influence of the humanities in American life. Will include a periodical concerned with the humanities, production and distribution of radio and television programs, and the research and development of a major television series that will show the significance of humanities coming to grips with major public issues.
