Relationship Between Social Class and the Women's Movement

FAIN: GY-10147-73

Mary Jo Neitz Wright
Unaffiliated independent scholar

To explore the images that lower-middle and working class women have of themeselves and the women's movement. To discover how they view the "ideas of the movement" as separate from the movement itself. To use this information in an effort to better understand the position of working and lower-middle class women in our society and to better understand the reception of the women's movement and the effect of its ideas on this population, as comapred with a previous sample of participating women.
