To record, reinforce, and preserve the traditions of an isolated village in northern New Mexico, and in doing so, reaffirm the significance of tradition in all areas of the country. To strengthen the interest of young people in the heritage and history of Spanish- and Mexican-Americans, foster insight into and respect for the culture, and to encourage similar efforts by others close to the mainstream of this tradition.
