To gather through the use of various media, information about the way of life of the Main lobster fisherman, and to collect items of material culture pertinent to the lobster fishery. This material will be preserved in full at the Northeast Archives of Folklore and Oral History at the University of Maine at Orono, and the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport, where it will be available for consultation.
