To complete a manuscipt, "Learning Sea Lore: the Educational History of a Puluwatan Navigator." A segment of extended research, this entails completing transcription and translation of one navigator's version of the lore, development of phenomonological analysis of the lore as a system of ritual and education, and comparison of the lore's inherent educational patterns with those of contemporary Western-style schools. Work involves participants of both Western and non-Western cultures.
