To do research in preparation for a new biography of the Genoese violin virtuoso Nicolo Paganini (1782-1840). Since there is no scholarly in-print biography available either in English or Italian, this biography will fill in a gap in musicological studies, and will, by taking into account the recent discoveries of Paganini manuscripts, correct a great amount of previously published "misinformation."
