Michael J. Leblanc
University of Louisiana at Lafayette (Lafayette, LA 70503-2014)

To computerize the "An Applied Methodology for Reconstructing Codesystems: Canada's Codesystem: 1740-1745." Also, two codesystems will be analysed with the computerized methodology. Canadian Codesystem (1740-1745) and the Louisiana Codesystem (1755-1762) which have been previously researched. The codebook has three uses; 1) the codebook can decode still encoded documents whose translations were lost of which were captured by the enemy; 2) the codebook can check the validity of translations of codenumbers which have been in a few cases imporperly translated; 3) the results of the computerized methodology can be used in linguistic studies.
