To discover the present state of the indigenous medical systems of India in the Maharashtra area, emphasizing Ayurveda, and by communication of findings to the public, to draw attention to Ayurveda and to encourage further work in this field. The P.I. will train himself in methods of research and develop critical skills, as he examines what alteration his presence has made on the status quo.
