Music Arranged for the English Concertina During the 19th and 20th Centuries

FAIN: GY-10271-74

Richard Carlin
Princeton Arts Council, Inc. (Princeton, NJ)

To study the music arranged and published for the English Concertina, a musical instrument of the accordion family. The project will preserve in writing, on photographs, and on tape the people who still play this instrument in the "classical" style of the Victorian age. The project will require travel to England and study at the British Museum where there is currently a great deal of material unavailable in the U.S.
