To enable 10 young second generation Puerto Ricans to conduct 122 oral history interviews with first generation Puerto Ricans over a 12-month period. The resulting archive will be used to compare and contrast the lifestyles and socio-cultural identity of the first and second generations. The interviewers will be trained in oral history technique as well as researching family life, education, folklore, migration, etc.
