FAIN: HW-50019-11

Northeastern University (Boston, MA 02115-5005)
Julia Hammond Flanders (Project Director: December 2010 to present)

A workshop to explore the methods that humanities scholars and librarians have been using to model scholarly data, and new directions for research.

The Centre for Digital Editions in Würzburg and the Brown University Center for Digital Scholarship propose a workshop entitled "Knowledge Organization and Data Modeling in the Humanities", to be held in Providence in March 2012. This event will bring together digital humanists, humanities scholars, and information theorists to consider how digital methods of knowledge representation in the humanities have developed during the past thirty years, and to explore how the various models now available to us shape and inflect the research objects we create and the research we undertake with them.
