This project will be a collaboration between the Ottawa University, Myers Library, the Ottawa Public Library and the Ottawa University Music Department. Three film presentations will take place on the Ottawa University Campus and three at the Ottawa Public Library to a mixed audience which includes students, faculty and the public. Each film will be introduced by the Music Scholar, Dr. Todd Wilkerson and after the showings, a topical discussion will be led and moderated by him. Additional programming will be done in the weeks following each of the film showings at the University and/or the Public Library which would include a variety of programming topics, that would be created for a range of audiences, such as, Hip-hop classes for students, young adults and adults and an Instrument Petting Zoo for children (a further list of activities is included in the Narrative).
