Soul of a People: Voices from the Writers' Project - Library Outreach Programs

FAIN: LR-50022-09

Library of Virginia (Richmond, VA 23219-1905)
Gregg Kimball (Project Director: July 2008 to April 2022)

The project will feature a series of public programs to be mounted collaboratively by the Library of Virginia and Richmond Public Library. This project will add to both institutions' strong track record of providing excellent educational and interpretive programs, bringing the richness of WPA collections into the everyday lives of Virginians. One of the strongest collections is that of materials at the Library of Virginia collected during the New Deal. There is simply no collection of New Deal materials in the Commonwealth of Virginia that equals that which is housed in the Library of Virginia.
