FAIN: MP-50029-06

Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum (Decorah, IA 52101)
Tova K. Brandt (Project Director: September 2005 to July 2007)

Planning for a permanent exhibition and a traveling component exploring immigration, ethnicity, and the role of tradition in the lives of individuals, families, and communities.

Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum seeks to develop a new interpretive model for addressing immigration and ethnicity in America. Starting with a conceptual plan generated by an NEH Consultation Grant, Vesterheim will involve audience focus groups, humanities scholars, exhibit designers and interpretive planning consultants to develop interpretive content for new core exhibitions and traveling displays.
