Leann Newton (Project Director: September 2015 to present)

Altharetta Yeargin Art Museum (AYAM) is honored to host the Power of Children exhibit in the spring. The exhibit focuses on the lives of three ordinary children that were placed in extraordinary circumstances and what an impact their lives had on those around them and still today. We are a part of Spring Branch Independent School District. While SBISD generously provides our facility and maintenance, all of our programming, supplies ,and operations are funded entirely through grants and donations. We plan to market this exhibit not only to SBISD but to surrounding school districts as well with the hopes of showing students that their lives matter and what a difference one life can make. We are a very diverse population and the theme of understanding and respecting those that may be different from yourself will resonant within our community.
