The Russell Library requests a $1,000 grant to help support the cost of public humanities programming when it hosts the traveling exhibition, ?Spirited: Prohibition in America? in the Fall of 2017. The intent of the exhibit and the complementary programming is to introduce visitors to the history of prohibition and to situate this history in the broader social, political, and economic history of the country as it struggled to be both temperate and free.
