FAIN: PA-51576-06

Deborah W. Staber (Project Director: May 2005 to November 2006)

A consultant's preservation assessment of paper-based materials, such as photographs, documents, manuscripts, architectural plans and works of art, in the collections of the L.C. Bates Museum.

The L.C.Bates Museum proposes to hire paper conservator, Walter Newman, Director of Paper Conservation at Northeast Document Conservation Center to conduct an on-site collection level conservation assessment of paper-based materials including photographs, documents, manuscripts, ephemera, architectural plans, and works of art. One project goal is to implement the recommendations of our 1992 CAP and 2000 CPS object survey that recommend that we have expert professional detailed assessments to plan care and treatment for specific Museum collections.
