Environmental Monitoring Project

FAIN: PA-51590-06

Klamath County Museums (Klamath Falls, OR 97601-5915)
Judith Hassen (Project Director: May 2005 to June 2007)

The purchase of environmental monitoring equipment to measure relative humidity and temperature in the county's main museum, which houses court, election, and land records, tax rolls, photographs, and other materials related to the history of Klamath County from the 1880s to 1976.

The funds for this project will be used to purchase environmental monitoring equipment of humanities collections: nine dataloggers to monitor the temperature and humidity in the research collections housed in the Klamath County Museums' main building. This request is based upon findings of the museum consultant (Tamsen Fuller)who did a Conservation Survey and Assessment report in 2001 (CAP). She recommeded that we monitor and record temperature and humidity for a year through the building, so that we can make the best decisions about actions to preserve Klamath County's history.
