A conservation assessment of 4000 works on paper, including prints, photographs, and drawings from the 16th to the 19th century, and the training of a staff member in collections care.

Pomona College Museum of Art, with a consulting conservator, will assess the preservation needs of a 4000 object works on paper collection. The collection—prints, photographs, and drawings, including preparatory drawings for murals at Pomona College by José Clemente Orozco and Rico Lebrun—is one of three collection groups held by the Museum. The survey will yield recommendations for: 1. Short-term remediation of problems in housing, storage, including environmental factors, and increased collection access. 2. Long-range plans for collection storage in a new or significantly renovated museum facility. 3. Identification of objects for conservation assessment and treatment as part of an on-going collection care plan.
