The Archaeological Institute of America, in partnership with the American Schools of Oriental Research, plans to host a two-day summit in Washington, DC, to bring together leaders of projects collecting data on cultural heritage in Iraq and Syria. The goal is to reach agreement on data-sharing practices, as well as defining the areas of focus for each project, thus eliminating, or at least reducing, duplication of effort.
