Paying for the supplies and services to clean, dry, and remediate flood damage caused by Hurricane Harvey to the exhibition gallery of the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.  The Pearl is the only fine art museum in Harris County, Texas; it serves five public school districts and 1.2 million residents.

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts, in Spring, Texas (dba Cypress Creek Fine Arts Association) is an 11,000-square foot museum located in the Hurricane Harvey flood disaster area.  The museum exhibits paintings, watercolors, sculptures, photographs, books, historical objects, various other works of fine art, and works of historical significance.  Recent flooding damaged beyond repair exhibition gallery hardwood flooring, sheet rock, interior walls, insulation, display cases, cabinetry, and gallery furniture.  Funds requested are to pay for cleaning supplies, remediation personal protective equipment, packing supplies, transport and temporary storage, gallery fixtures, and emergency inspection services and restoration costs not covered by flood insurance.  Funds are critically needed to resume operation of the museum, to continue to provide jobs for the 14-member staff, and to continue to offer cultural and educational opportunities for the community.
