Conservation of the Caguas Historic Municipal Archive Collections

The purchase of preservation supplies, portable generators, and dehumidifiers, along with the services of a specialist in mold remediation for a collection of municipal records dating back to 1806, which wee damaged as a result of Hurricane Maria.

The project consists of attending the immediate needs of the collection by creating a stable environment free of humidity with the purpose assuring the conservation and preservation of its collections.  The project includes acquiring items and/or equipment such as: dehumidifiers, temperature monitors, acid free materials, disinfection of he repository and the preparation of its areas.
