Educational programs focused on the care of humanities collections for staff of museums, libraries, and historical organizations.

The Campbell Center is requesting support from the NEH Divison of Preservation and Access for an ongoing program of collections preventive care training for those individuals working with humanity collections (library, archives, historical, art, archaeological and ethnographic). The Center's program is comprised of eight core curriculum courses and 30 specialty courses. It offers a Collections Preventive Care Certificate Program for beginning, mid-career, and senior heritage professionals. The funds requested will provide support for program operations, course development and evaluation, and 110 scholarships. Over the next two years the Center's program will provide training for 280 individuals from 140 heritage institutions. The support of NEH is necessary for the Center to continue to provide quality and affordable collections preventive care training to those individuals who have the greatest impact on the preservation of our nation's humanity collections.
