Purchase of Storage Furniture, Supplies, and Environmental Monitoring Equipment for Humanities Collections

The purchase of storage shelving, supplies, and environmental monitoring equipment for the care of collections in Harrington House (1830). These historical artifacts and archival materials document the history of Freeport, Maine, from 1750 to the present.

To purchase, assemble, and install steel shelving for storage of humanities archival and artifact collections; steel file cabinet to house accessions records; data loggers, software and shuttle to monitor temperature and relative humidity; ethafoam to line steel shelves to protect artifacts; Tyvek to drape storage shelves and furniture in damp environment; muslin to drape storage shelves reducing light and dust infiltration; archival boxes in several sizes to replace non-archival boxes; and lumber to build shelving for storage of archival supplies where we can not put steel shelving.
