The purchase of dataloggers to monitor temperature, relative humidity, and light levels in the collections areas of the art museum.

The proposed Preservation Assistance Grant award would fund the purchase of 26 new dataloggers and related accessories and software. These will replace obsolete dataloggers that are used to monitor relative humidity and temperature for the Cincinnati Art Museum's permanent collection. The museum maintains a large and diverse collection of art and artifacts, which is actively used to promote scholarship and public education in the arts and other humanities fields. The proposed new dataloggers will enable our staff to better monitor humidity and temperature, as well as light exposure, of objects located throughout the museum's exhibition galleries and art storage areas.
