FAIN: PG-50438-08

MacGregor Charitable Trust (Estes Park, CO 80517)
Jane Lopez (Project Director: May 2007 to November 2009)

The purchase of storage supplies and the training of staff and volunteers by a conservation consultant in preparation for rehousing photographs, business and agricultural records, family papers, books, and other materials that document the history of Estes Park, Colorado, and the MacGregor Ranch, a historic high mountain working cattle ranch, museum, and youth education center.

The Muriel L. MacGregor Charitable Trust will use the grant funds to hire a conservation consultant to help us implement the final stage of the storage plan and conduct onsite training to enhance storage/environmental improvement projects that we started in 2006 (NEH PAG 05 funded). We will utilize the onsite training opportunity to enhance professional development of staff and a dedicated collection volunteer force. We will recruit new volunteers, complete storage and learn how to interpret the data from our environmental monitoring program.
