Development of an integrated emergency preparedness and response plan to protect the humanities collections of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania's museums and historic sites. Burnside Plantation, the Colonial Industrial Quarter, the 1810 Goundie House, the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Moravian Museum preserve library, archival, and material culture collections that document the history of Bethlehem from its founding in 1741 to the present.

Historic Bethlehem Partnership (HBP) requests a Preservation Assistance Grant to develop an overarching emergency preparedness and response plan for the Partnership as a whole. This plan will supersede the existing individual emergency procedures and establish and integrate emergency procedures for HBP's 22 buildings located on five sites. The new emergency preparedness and response plan will outline procedures for avoiding and responding to manmade and natural emergencies that might endanger the important humanities collections of Historic Bethlehem Partnership's museums and historic sites: Burnside Plantation, the Colonial Industrial Quarter, the 1810 Goundie House, the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem. It will address issues relating to the collections, visitors, and staff.
