Rudolf Steiner Library, Anthroposophical Society in America (Ghent, NY 12075-3900)
Judith Soleil (Project Director: May 2009 to April 2012)

An assessment of environmental conditions in the Rudolf Steiner Library, which houses bound volumes, serials, audiovisual resources, and manuscript collections focused on the anthroposophical teachings of Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), an Austrian philosopher and educator.

The Rudolf Steiner Library of the Anthroposophical Society in America is requesting funds to hire a qualified environmental engineer to conduct an HVAC assessment for the library. Karen E.K. Brown, Preservation Librarian for the University at Albany Libraries, surveyed the Rudolf Steiner Library, Ghent, New York, for preservation planning purposes on July 26, 2007. Primary among her recommendations was to install an HVAC system in the library building.
