Connecticut Landmarks (Hartford, CT 06106-1821)
Beverly Lucas (Project Director: May 2009 to October 2011)

A conservation assessment of the society's archival collections and storage facilities and the purchase of preservation supplies to rehouse the Butler-McCook archives documenting the business, religious, and social reform activities of this prominent Hartford family from the 18th through the 20th century.

Connecticut Landmarks (CTL) seeks funding to properly preserve and re-house the Butler-McCook Archives, part of CTL's significant historic archival and photographic collections. Funding will support the purchase of appropriate archival materials including document boxes, storage containers, print boxes, folders and negative enclosures to re-house the Butler-McCook Archives. Conservator of Photographs and Paper, Gary E. Albright, will provide conservation assistance for the project. Upon completion, CTL will be able to provide greater access to its archival collections for staff and the general public including students, teachers and scholars for exhibition, interpretation and research purposes.
