Digitization of 100,000 pages of Wyoming’s microfilmed newspapers as part of the state’s continuing participation in the National Digital Newspaper Project.

The University of Wyoming requests $263,900 from the National Endowment for the Humanities over a two-year period to digitize an additional 100,000 pages of Wyoming’s microfilmed newspapers for the National Digital Newspaper Project. The Wyoming State Archives holds the most complete collection of master copies of Wyoming newspapers on microfilm. The Wyoming Digital Newspaper project will deliver 100,000 digitized newspaper pages to the Library of Congress as well as all required accompanying digital, textual and microfilm deliverables.
