To support the continuation of the automation of data of the Statistique Generale de la France, in transferring data into readily useable and fully documented computer-readable form, so as to be available to the international scholarly community through the Inter-University Consortium for Political Research. The project is designed to bring data up to 1921, and will add a further series on the primary industries of France. The project is designed to cover the significant stages of modernizations and industrialization in France.
