To microfilm the documents contained in 48 volumes in the San Francisco Archive located in the Franciscan Convento de San Francisco, Lima, Peru. The Archive covers the period from 1542 to 1868 and sheds important light on the history of the European cultural and religious effort in colonial Peru. The Archive also contains extensive information about Indians as well as condition reports on various institutions.
