A Facility for Basic Research on "White Ethnic" Groups in Modern America

FAIN: PM-10302-74

University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN 55455-2009)
Rudolph J. Vecoli (Project Director: September 1974 to present)

To support the continued development of a facility for basic research on the "white ethnic" groups originating from Europe and the Middle East, and immigrating to America between 1880 and 1930. The research collection will include printed materials, microfilms, and manuscripts which document the history of these groups from the time of immigration to the present day. This research facility will be a boon to ethnological scholarship and will increase the knowledge and understanding of the role of ethnic groups in American life.
