Incorporating three early 20th-century periodicals, "The English Review," "Scribner's," and "Poetry: A Magazine of Verse," into a digital archive, the Modernist Journals Project.

The Modernist Journals Project, co-sponsored by Brown and the University of Tulsa, proposes to extend its thematic research collection of early twentieth-century periodicals with editions of The English Review, Scribner's Magazine, and Poetry Magazine. The MJP will collaborate with the libraries at Brown, Tulsa, Princeton, and the University of Chicago to produce these digital editions, using unbound copies of the original periodicals retaining advertising pages, which provide an important window onto the complex web of twentieth-century cultural formation but which have been stripped out of most bound volumes in libraries. The MJP will supplement these digital editions with extensive scholarly apparatus to aid students and researchers.
