Title: Enhancing the Discoverability of Artists’ Books through Metadata Remediation
Author: Allison McCormack
Author: Emily Hernandez
Abstract: Metadata remediation offers many benefits, including helping patrons search for and discover collection items more seamlessly and highlighting the presence of materials from diverse communities that were previously overlooked. However, planning and gaining administrative support for this work can be challenging. The presenters describe how their initiatives came into being, share workflows based on different staffing models and project scope, and examine some of the early results from their efforts. These four case studies provide models that audience members can take back to their own institutions and adapt as needed.
