To prepare the definitive critical edition of St. Thomas Aquinas' Commentary of Aristotle's Metaphysics. His influence on the medieval world is comparable to that of Plato and Aristotle on Antiquity and of St. Augustine on the early Christian Church. The same scientific effort is required to restore the works of St. Thomas in their original integrity as has been expended on these earlier scholars.
