The project will result in a translation, with commentary and annotation, of Julius Caesar Scalinger's Poetices Libri Septem (Lyons, 1561), a work of vital significance for analyzing sixteenth and seventeenth century literary texts. The Renaissance Editions will publish the complete edition in four volumes, thus making the entire work available in an annotated English edition for the first time.
