To edit for publication by the authroized editor (principal investigator) of the notebooks, diaries and other posthumous paper (as well as assembling of the correspondence) of the late Edmund Wilson (1895-1972) for publication in a series of six to eight volumes. These cover the years 1918 to 1972, and represent a substantial cultural heritage reflecting as they do the literary, social and political life of the United States as recorded in Wilson's private writings.
