This project, undeway since 1968, is a multi-volume edition, critically edited with full commentary, of the complete works of Richard Hooker, one of the major prose writers of the early English Renaissance. The edition is to be published by Harvard University Press. NEH funds will be used to see the first volumes into press and to monitor progress on subsequent volumes of commentary.
