To provide funds toward the annual salaries of six members of the editorial team of the Massachusetts Historical Society, engaged in the editing and publishing of the Adams Papers, documents relating to the Adams family of Massachusetts. Funding will allow the team a year in which to complete the official, non-family papers of John Adams and begin work on the diary of John Quincy Adams.
