The Complete Letters of William Lloyd Garrison. The enterprise will consist in all of six or eight volumes. Half of these volumes are to be edited by the principal investigator and half by Professor Louis Ruchames of the University of Massachusetts. At present Merrill has completed Volume 1, which is being copy edited. The principal investigator seeks a grant in order to complete his portion of the edition (Volumes III and V or should V be divided into two volumes III, V, and VI).
