The project will prepare and complete Volume VI of the Cambridge University Press edition of the Letters of D. H. Lawrence. The total edition (seven volumes plus index) will provide a complete and definitive collection of a substantial portion of Lawrence's total lifetime correspondence. Each volume will contain an introductory essay, a chronology of Lawrence's life and work covered by the volume, manuscript location lists, several illustrations, an annotated text of each letter, and a skeletal index.
