To request a grant for a 2 month period to study the feasibility of organizing a 3 day Interdisciplinary Research Conference. The primary purpose of the conference would be: 1) to establish communications links between persons who approach research problems in the ethical and human values implications areas from different disciplinary vantage points; 2) to discuss concrete steps for institutionalizing research in these areas; 3) to recommend other follow up programs, including conferences of a more specific nature.
