The project invokes the translation and editing of approximately 150 annotated letters never before published; the writing of an introduction, glossary of personal and place names, and guide to basic research sources; and preparation of the document for publication. The letters delineate the (Hungarian) immigrants' journey and early impressions of our country, their efforts to adapt, the factors compelling thoughts of re-emigration, and the impact of World War I on their lives.
